About burelson7

Patrick is a 38 year old network engineer residing in Waterbury, VT. Patrick grew up in South Burlington, Vermont. He and his brother spent many summer afternoons engaged in backyard whiffle ball battles, with each having to bat not only in the same order as the Sox, but using the same stance as each batter. PK spent many summer nights listening to the Sox on the radio. Among his earliest Sox memories is being awoken by his father to watch the bottom of the 9th as the Sox swept the A’s in Game 3 of the 1975 ALDS. Patrick’s favorite player as a kid was Sox shortstop Rick Burleson, and his entire fourth grade year was ruined by a Yankee shortstop who shall remain nameless. Over the next several years, Patrick’s love of the Sox grew as he and his family made several trips to Fenway. In high school, Patrick played football, basketball and track. His senior year was marred by the sad events at Shea Stadium Upon graduating from high school, Patrick served 3 years in the VT National Guard, then 6 years on active duty in the US Army. After an honorable discharge in 1999, Patrick assumed the duties as the network administrator for the US Military Academy in West Point, NY., spending the next few years warily tucked just inside the Empire’s borders. Patrick returned to his roots in Vermont in 2001 and currently serves as the network engineer for HRSentry.com in Colchester, VT. In 2004, Patrick and his brother kept the faith, making the long drive for Game 4 of the ALCS. The arc of Big Papi’s famous blast remains etched in Patrick’s memory, as does the joyous celebration that broke out as Dirty Water blared proudly inside the lyric little ballpark that night. Patrick would appreciate your voted.
